General Information

In addition to undergraduate education, the education and teaching period of the Department of Civil Engineering within the scope of the Institute of Natural and Applied Sciences is carried out in Fall and Spring semesters consisting of at least 14 weeks each. Mechanic, Structural and Construction Materials, Hydraulic, Transport, and Geotechnical disciplines are the main disciplines of Master's and PhD programme. The main language of instruction in these graduate programme is Turkish. Education and teaching is carried out in the independent Construction Department building. In this building, which has a total floor area of 3276m², there are 5 classrooms, 2 laboratories and a computer laboratory equipped with 50 computers. The total area of the classrooms is 975m² and the total area of the laboratories is 508m².
